(Photos and words by Doug Gregory) –\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>The laid back feel to this event was great and belies the huge amount of effort put in by all the volunteers and the massive amount of support given in donations.\u00a0 It would be awesome if we could add another 100 or vehicles a year and its clear they have room for it.\u00a0 Make plans to attend if you can and come enjoy the hot rodding community.\u00a0 The support and camaraderie in this group is some of the best I\u2019ve seen this side of military life.<\/p>\n

On a side note, we watched a handful of rides take to the Dyno.\u00a0 The biggest numbers were put out by a silver \u201967 Camaro putting up 654hp NA and 927hp on Juice with the ambient temps hovering at 103deg.\u00a0 These are uncorrected numbers and I\u2019d say the dyno was being just a bit stingy.\u00a0 For an added treat for the day Dave Huber brought over his blown gas Dragmaster chassis out and did a bit of cackle for the crowd.\u00a0 Too cool.<\/p>\n

In addition to all this they had a raffle to give away a built LSX with all sorts of nice parts and good looks.\u00a0 How could you go wrong attending this event\u2026<\/p>\n
