(Words and photos by Doug Gregory) –\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>If you\u2019ve been asking \u2018where\u2019s the beef?\u2019 then my answer is this gallery of photos.\u00a0 My apologies for pictures from the stands, but I wasn\u2019t allowed trackside.\u00a0 Still, we did the best we could and managed to get a few decent shots showing some pretty good stuff.\u00a0 The track seemed to be hooking for most though it was pretty warm outside.\u00a0 We weren\u2019t expecting anyone to bust out new bests or set track records.\u00a0 I would have liked more nostalgia race-types to show up, but I believe there was another event scheduled elsewhere.\u00a0 All in all it was a great time with good racing and lots of horsepower to see, hear, and smell.<\/p>\n

Mike Lewis\u2019 LarkNess Monster hanging them high out of the gate \u2013 look for a feature on this later<\/p>\n

The little gold Rambler boiling the hides preparing for a run<\/p>\n

Crusty-looking Chevy II that came out of retirement to yank the front wheels a few times<\/p>\n

Clean blue Barracuda getting it done on drag radials<\/p>\n
