(Photos by Bad Brad’s Speed Shots) – After a year away from the facility, the PDRA returned to Tulsa Raceway Park with a rocking season opener that was pushed back a week by rain. Once the racers were able to get loaded into the facility and hit the track, the big numbers were flying partly because of a cold front that brought some of the nicest horsepower making air anyone had seen in forever. Unfortunately too much of a good thing can be a bad thing and the race was called before completion because the track got too cold to safely hold onto race cars. The remaining elimination rounds will be finished up at the Rockingham race in April.

Our man Bad Brad was on the scene in Tulsa and he delivered some truly amazing images. The one above is really cool because of the car and the whole feeling it exudes with movement, energy, and excitement. The PDRA’s wide swath of classes for door slammers doesn’t really include a weak sister in the bunch. There’s great variety in cars power plants, and body styles out there so it keeps people entertained. The fans who came out to TRP for the rain delayed PDRA 2016 season opener got a show for the ages. It really was one to remember!
