When the BangShift editorial crowd was in my neighborhood for the NMCA-NMRA Super Bowl of Street Legal Drag Racing at Route 66 Raceway, I told them I’d meet them post-race for a dinner and to get some facetime with the boss. Like many of BangShift’s readers, I watched the supremely entertaining 13-round Super Bowl finale and then headed out the door for the short drive to Joliet and dinner. Knowing that Lohnes would probably get distracted by a box truck or a nickel on the sidewalk that his nubby fingers couldn’t pick up, I took the scenic route. I’d expected a nice Sunday evening drive around sunset, which it was, but it also came with the bonus of seeing a pair of wickedly finned Jet Age four-doors a few miles apart: a ‘58 Cadillac Fleetwood and a 1960 Dodge Dart Seneca (which was for sale). Enjoy some photos.
