(Photos by Bryan McTaggart) – If there is one thing that you’ll see little of in this group of Bryan McTaggart photos from the 2016 NMRA world finals in Bowling Green, Kentucky it is sun. Like many racing events last weekend from the NHRA Keystone Nationals to the Ohio Mile, liquid sunshine was a factor. In the case of the NMRA meet it meant a couple of delays but it also meant that the track was being groomed to kill multiple times a day and kill it did. Huge wheelies and driveline breakage were signs that the strip at Beech Bend had some massive teeth in it for the competitors.

The race ended on Sunday only because of the hard work and dedication of the track and NMRA officials who kept the program forging ahead when others were thinking it was a lost cause. That’s a good team over there and they showed it. The event drew out some big luminaries as well. Jack Roush was on the property hanging out and taking in the sport that launched his motorsports empire. Yes, as many of you know, Roush was a drag racer first and then a stock car guy.

McTaggart did a great job with these photos and here’s the latest collection of them for you to check out!
