(Words and photos by Mike Brooks) – Well we set the clocks forward a few weeks ago making the days brighter, the birds are beginning to chirp, and the indoor car show season is starting to wind down. Spring is well on its way here in the Northeast. I’ve been lucky enough to be able to catch some great shows so far this year, (5 shows in 4 states) and the 2014 Buffalo Motorama is no exception.

The fourth edition of this show continues a 60 year tradition of indoor car shows in downtown Buffalo. When the Autorama series left Buffalo behind, Joe Haniszewski Jr. picked up the ball and ran with it. The main show floor featured plenty of highly polished show cars, race cars, concours resto’s, custom trucks, Munster Cars, Bikes, and even a couple snowmobiles (This is Buffalo, after all).

Downstairs, the convention center’s ballrooms featured custom tuners and some local drift cars. Next room over was “The Open Wheel Room”. It was full of tradition rods, rat rods, and some vintage race cars. Joe was kind enough to allow me in before the doors opened to sneak in and snap some pics. He also let me grab plenty of death-defying shots from the catwalk above the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center floor.
