As I type this, Haley and I are back in the hotel room after experiencing, first-hand, for the first time, what cruising Woodward can actually be. I’ll dive into the details of that story in a couple of days once I have digested everything that went down, but for now, let’s leave it at this: Friday was unbelievably calm and collected compared. After the bust that was the MSHS Milan race, pretty much all of the MSHS folks needed a break to just sit around, B.S. for a bit and bring their energy levels back up. (Well, some of them, anyways. There might be footage of an ATV in the middle of a healthy burnout in Milan’s parking lot that speaks for others…)

The entire time Haley was snapping photos with me, I kept reminding her that she hadn’t seen anything yet, even as interesting and cool cars sped on by. I knew I was right…but I had no grasp on just how right I was. We even made a couple of laps, going down to about 10 Mile Road and turning around…there were cars, sure. But nothing like Saturday!

We’re going to go rest and get ready to head back to Kentucky, but in the meantime, click on a photo below to check out more of the early birds that took to the street:
