(Words and photos by Doug Gregory) – So new for us to see at this event are the Nostalgia Super Stocks and Nostalgia Muscle Car classes. These are heavily-populated with Chrysler Corporation hardware. We’ve seen some of these rides at the Hot Rod Reunion and a couple other events. Not only are these cars cool muscle car gold, they put on a good show for us as well.

These classes were dominated by Mopower with only a couple, token GMs mixing it up to keep things honest. Darts, Belvederes, Barracudas, Challengers, Chargers, and more. These cars put on a real show with big burnouts, hefting a wheel or two, and running some tight races. Normally we’d have a bunch of photos of the Six Shooter, but we decided to let some others get the spotlight this time. Several cars were sporting the huge-by-wide Hemi scoop and this makes us weak in the knees. The blue Charger even looked as if it was ready to drive up the road and take on all comers. All of these cars had attitude and are not your common cookie-cutter fare. We really enjoyed watching them and are looking forward to seeing them again.

Enjoy.
