There is only one Pomona Swap Meet. There are other SoCal swap meets, and some are great like Long Beach, but there is only one Pomona. Walk every single row of parts AND cars and you will walk about 35 miles. I average 20 miles each time we go and sometime get near 30. Parts, cars, trucks, bikes, toys, accessories, tools, you name it and you’ll find it at the Pomona Swap Meet. With that said, 95% of the stuff for sale really is automotive or gearhead related. That’s not necessarily the theme at all swap meets, but it sure is at Pomona.

The other cool thing about Pomona is the party atmosphere. In the car corral there are tons of cars for sale in the first few rows and then the rest starts to get sprinkled with car show and sale cars which means that lots of folks are grilling, cooking tacos, drinking beer, and hanging out with friends, car clubs, and family. It is a real event, not just a swap meet. Our normal non-selling weekend, like this one, starts around 5am at Crosby’s shop loading beer, ice, coolers, and chairs. On a selling weekend we may or may not go on Saturday afternoon and stay all night. Otherwise we just step up the time frame about 30 minutes.

Since we weren’t selling this weekend, Crosby, Jay, and I ran around looking for parts for the dually, hubcaps and air cleaners to feed Jay’s addictions, and anything funny and weird for Crosby to drool over.
