(Words and photos by Doug Gregory) – Back for more from the Survivor’s Alley section of the show. The biggest thing going on in here are the 5 FJs gathered which included a RHD diesel flatbed. My great-uncle Clarence used FJs when working as a hunting guide in Wyoming back when I was young. This memory draws me to these like a moth to a candle, but without the consequences. Each build was different and they also had killer FJ R/Cs and riding toys. Great retro stuff. Lots of early iron in here, gas pumps, pedal cars, rust, and whitewalls. We even spotted a GMC Vandura complete with time-worn van-era customizations. A big Chevy Viking sporting Duramax power was hauling an equally-cool Buick. Lastly, the chubby Chevy seemed to be using a pan lid for the air filter top. Not sure I have ever seen that before, but I’m sure it’s been done.

Please enjoy and come back for more.
