(Photos by Benoit Pigeon) – We have finally run dry on photos from the season opening PDRA East Coast Spring Nationals at GALOT Motorsports Park. This event brought out the baddest PDRA names in the country and packed the pits with hundreds of race cars, leading everyone in drag racing to believe that the PDRA is off to a flying start and should have a banner 2018 campaign. If you are unfamiliar with the PDRA’s brand of heads-up eighth mile, drag racing action you need to either tune into one of their races via live stream of get your fanny in the stands to see it for yourself. These are highly tuned machines that do things in the eighth mile that many people in the sport never knew possible. Big fun for sure.

Benoit Pigeon did a fantastic job blasting these photos and we’re proud to have his work here on BangShift. He’s an east coast pro mod shooter at his core and GALOT is one of the best places in the country to shoot. Why? The nighttime lighting is good, the track itself is clean and tidy, and nice looking.

If you’d like to learn more about the PDRA or their upcoming race schedule, visit PDRA660.com

The series returns May 3-5 at Maryland International Raceway.
