(Photos by Wes Allison) – Since the dawn of BangShift, I’ve never hidden my affection for all things truck. Be the huge or small, new or old, I am a truck guy deep down in my heart and always will be. The good thing is that I’m always in good company wherever I go or at whatever automotive events I attend because old trucks are going as strong as old cars are and they have their own unique personalities to display to the world. There were hundreds of awesome trucks at the 2018 Viva Las Vegas show and this is our first blast of photos featuring those trucks. There will be several more to follow, so be prepared!

One of the things we dig about trucks is that unlike cars in many ways the older and more battle worn they are, the better they look. Like an old guy who has lived the proverbial “lives of 10 men”, an old truck with some signs of use looks like a vehicle with stories to tell rather than something that should be relegated to the scrap like many old cars. Due to the favorable climates of the western states, old trucks there live almost indefinitely and I always bust Chad’s chops when hanging out in California because from the second I get there to the second I leave I am truck spotting and lamenting how many there are out there!
