(Photos by Wes Allison) – It was, huge, it was fun, it was windy, and it was Viva Las Vegas 2018. Yes, as Chad was hunkered down, swinging the camera over at the Vegas drag strip, we had operatives blasting photos at the Viva Las Vegas 2016 car show as well. This is truly one of the biggest and coolest hot rod events on the western side of the country and we have been attending for years. Drawing everything from muscle cars (relative rarities at the event) to early hot rods, lots of street rods, and kustoms by the mile, this event is super fun. Additionally there was all kinds of great music being played the likes of Brian Setzer and others as well.

Like Chad’s experience at the drag strip, the wind was whistling pretty hard all weekend long and that certainly took the temperatures down to levels that our shooters weren’t quite expecting out of Las Vegas at this time of the year. The crowds and the hot rodders didn’t care, though. They came out in force and had a blast. We did too and we’ll be back with great photos all week long.

Viva Las Vegas 2018, baby!
