(Photos by David Whealon) –\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>One that does not “get” the sport of pulling may not understand the fact that facility that the events are held at makes a huge different. Just like a drag strip, a pulling course has a personality, traction, and other factors that make it good or bad. In the case of GALOT Motorsports Park in North Carolina, we can tell you with certainty that it is about the finest facility in the country outside of say, Bowling Green. Again, like a drag strip, the surface has to be prepared, manicured, and maintained to get the best possible results for the competitors.<\/p>\n

We showed you some cool stuff from the pits and a little action yesterday, but today’s photos are fully about flying dirt and screaming engines. Enjoy today’s look at the NTPA Mule City 300 at GALOT Motorsports Park. Threatening weather may have taken some of the spectator crowd away but the professional pullers were there to let it fly at one of the nicest pulling facilities in the country!<\/p>\n
