You’d think that seeing the sun setting just after we got set up and had a couple of classes run would mean a short day on the job. Not at an SCSN race…they like to play late into the night! The beauty of Gateway Motorsports Park is that it’s away from the houses and the downtown areas, northeast of the city proper, so whatever noise is made at Street Car Super Nationals is of little bother to anyone who might be inclined to complain. And there was plenty of noise to be made…unlike Thursday, where weather was slipping us a random tiny shower just to irritate the track prep folks and your two hosts, the sky was wide-open and would remain so for the rest of the evening…good, considering that the car count for the event has been gigantic in every category! Just in Mid-West Pro Mod alone, there are (at last check) thirty-six of the big-tired monsters! If you want action, you’ll get action! Be sure to tune in to our streaming coverage, which will be running well into the night, and when there’s downtime, you can click on a photo below and check out some more of the action in still form!
