(Photos by Scott Liggett) – <\/strong><\/em>For the last few days we have been taking you around the 2019 Omaha Autorama, a tradition that has been happening in the Omaha, Nebraska area for more than 60 years. This is a hot rod show that has been going on since the days of hot rod being a\u00a0pejorative term that was used to create sensational headlines in newspapers and make campy movies.<\/p>\n

Hot rods were a menace to society and a sign of the decline of western civilization 60 years ago and events like the Autorama was instrumental in turning public opinion on the hobby of modifying cars into something positive. These days, a hot rod show is anything but a bunch of ruffians, in fact if you were to total the amount of money invested in the cars and trucks we have showed you in this gallery\u2026well don\u2019t do that. The point is, hot rodding has come full circle and the turn started decades and decades ago with car shows like this one in Omaha.<\/p>\n
