(Photos by Chad Reynolds) Every Pomona Swap Meet is different, but there is always something cool as hell to see. From parts to cars and everything in between, you are likely to see stuff you have never seen at some point during your walk through the aisles. Whether it is rare or weird, or both, just depends on the day. We’re planning a move, so we’re actually getting rid of stuff not collecting more, so I was disciplined and bought nothing I couldn’t eat or drink. No new parts, no new toys, and certainly no new cars. It hurt, but felt good at the same time. Sort of cathartic I guess. But that didn’t mean we didn’t have a good time.

Me, Crosby, Stephen, and Jay hit the swap meet early, setup an EZ Up, and roped off a spot for our friends in the Taildraggers car club to come and hang out. Once they arrived the coolers came out, the grill was setup, and we were ready for some parts picking. Jay was the only one buying, and he got a few things for some new projects. The rest of us laughed at stuff, drooled on some, and basically had a good time bench racing and wandering. The Pomona Swap Meet is uniquely awesome for all of that as it is absolutely huge. After making it about 10 rows were found ourselves in front of the famed Pink’s Hot Dogs stand and got one of their famed breakfast burritos before heading back to the show spots we’d setup. We ate, started enjoying some beverages, and then walked around the car corral so I could snap some photos for all of you to enjoy.

This month’s car and truck selection featured some weird and cool and unique stuff that we hadn’t seen in a while. Just check out the photos and you’ll see what we’re talking about. We bet you’ll dig some of these hot rods as much as we did, that’s for sure. But I’m sure there are a few you’ll wonder if I like or not. Keep guessing. LOL
