When BANGshifter Scott Liggett hit the Autorama to snap photos for all of you to enjoy back in March, he sent them to our Dropbox, including his write up, and then told us they were there and ready to post up. Unfortunately all the Coronavirus stuff must have caused a brain fade on our end because we totally spaced and never posted them! And it isn’t like he just sent us a handful of photos. No, we’re talking more than 300 photos from the show and we’ve got them separated into several galleries that we are going to share over the next few days. Here’s his write up, and the first batch of photos. Sorry for the delay, it was all our fault.<\/p>\n

(Words by Scott Liggett) We were so ready to hit up the 65th running of the World Of Wheels Omaha Autorama this year. Omaha wasn’t seeing the cases of Corona Virus like the big cities on the coasts. But, with the news around the world getting uglier, and events being cancelled left and right elsewhere in the world, we were still hoping to go see some cool cars. Even on Saturday morning, we didn’t know if we would make it to the show with snow falling, and the possibility the show being cancelled as we drove the three hours to Omaha.<\/div>\n

The uncertainty didn’t end when we pulled into the parking lot at CHI Health Center in Downtown Omaha. The lot was near empty as we rolled in right at the time of the show’s opening. But, the show was still on. The crowd was small to begin, but picked up a bit as the day went along. And we had a great time.<\/div>\n

But, that Saturday, the news of Coronavirus spreading worldwide made it impossible to continue. At 7:30 that night, the governor of Nebraska stepped in and closed the show. Awards were given out right away, and on Sunday the participants moved their cars out.<\/div>\n

Hopefully, we all will back out enjoying our cars again, racing, car shows, or just cruising. In the meantime, here are some pictures for you to enjoy.<\/div>\n
