(Photos by Wes Allison) –\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>In conversation this past weekend a couple of friends and I arrived at a conclusion. There’s really only one bad look to have in the enthusiast world these days and that is the one of “old guy”. Now “old guy” does not have anything to do with age, has nothing to do with year, make, model, but has all to do with attitude. Are you dismissive or crummy toward makes, models, and styles you do not like? Yes, that is full “old guy”. Going to run a line of BS at someone about how your stock SS396 ran 11s on bias-plies back in the day? Yeppers, “Old guy”. That mentality really does not exist at events like Donut Derelicts because those dudes (to their own detriment and everyone else’s pleasure) tend to stay home.<\/p>\n

When is the last time you have been to an event that has this much mechanical spread of different cars and trucks? From the Olds below to that wacky slammed Porsche, to the turbocharged Falcon, the Model T truck, and the list goes on and on and on. We cannot recommend getting to this ritualistically weekly gathering of gearheads.<\/p>\n
