Those are station wagon, bbc springs back there. I'm going to cut them down as soon I get the rolling stock I want. The Edelbrock shocks are fully extended and not working correctly now. I may use my old shock extensions as a temp fix. I dug them out of my spare parts box yesterday.

    Re: Rebeldryver's '70 Caprice Granny's Luxo-Muscle-Barge

Yesterday, I drove down to Gardena to a hole in the wall place that's been there.....forever, to drop off the back wheels for modification. I found out my rallys are only 6 inches wides. I thought they were seven. Oh well, doesn't matter now.

Bolton's Classic Wheels can widen wheels, fix them after you pummel a pot hole, and restore old, rusty ones. Now, I have to wait an estimated 10 working days to get mine back. I'm not that patient. Javier has a ton of wheel repair work thanks to LA's pot holes that the city has no money to fix.

    You think it's bad there?

So... how wide [i]are[i] those rear Rallies gonna be? I bet a 10 in. would fit without issue.

Must be the pictures, but it looks like the car is already lowered. Isn't lowering the rear going to produce issues with driveway entrance and exit?

I have some trimming and hammering to do to get the widened wheels in there. The lip on the wheel well is nearly two inches wide.

I cut the new front springs when I installed them. The rears are uncut still, hence the rake with nearly the same height of tires. I plan to cut rear springs when I closer to the final rolling stock on the car. It still sits higher the Impala and I dont have much issue with driveways.

The snow ball has officially gone over the side. The list of stuff I want to do to this car keeps going up. I'm afraid I'll never get to my Impala at this rate.

My friend Carl had them do his wheels. I'm basically copying Carl's wheels to some extent. They don't have a website, but they do still do a lot of business.
