This has been a pretty fast build, I am adding pictures as fast as I can, we started in mid November 2011, I am really hoping to be driving it this season. I have learned a lot about paint, cutting buffing etc, mainly by trial and error. My first fender well pictures below was taken back down to the metal around 40 times before I really got the hang of it!

Weird..... I usually have no problems seeing pictures, you other guys do.

This thread has it backwards. Looks like everyone else can see it but me? All I'm getting are the infamous RedX's... Boo...

I was really excited to see this car too. Sounds like something I'd like to do with my '66 Special.
Whether you can or can't, you are usually right.<a href=http://www.bangshift.com/forum/image.php?type=sigpic&userid=1712&dateline=1303310375 target=_blank>http://www.bangshift.com/forum/image...ine=1303310375</a>

    re

more banging, welding, cutting, etc. I really wish there were more aftermarket parts made for the 65 Olds...

    The Art Carr 200R4 arrived!

We did some serious work on the frame to make sure we didnt have to modify the headers, those "direct fit" hookers are all but a "direct fit", now the engine can move freely without the headers hitting the frame

    Here's the link to my 442. http://www.bangshift.com/forum/showt...23670-1966-442

It's nothing too fancy but I enjoy it. Your are doing a great job on making things fit. I had the same issues with the headers. I like your solution much better than mine (hammer and heat).

We paid a lot of attention to detail on the 468 build, Custom ground cam, windage tray, ported the heads twice, splash tray in the oil valley and welded to the under side of the intake, ported intake, etc etc, the last thing I wanted to do was rob a few HP with banging on the brand new headers, on the flip side it would not have been an easy task to do what we did to the frame if I didnt have a very colse friend that has one heck of a machine shop. Jegs actually sent me the worng headers once, they sent headers for a 68 model, You should have seen us trying to get those to fit properly. They didnt want to take them back either, but luckily the salesman remembered our conversation and admitted I had ordered headers for a 65.
