Nothing really. We are running into allot of little things and that adds up really fast. The car is taking allot more than I anticipated to make her road worthy. Decided to take it slow and prep for next year...

Sorry to hear. I'd been looking forward to seeing your car.

I'm skipping an engine masters wiring and dyno session to ensure my car is ready =/ I really want to go, but if I do I don't have a guarantee the car will be ready.

This is the reality of the event. The little stuff, especially the stuff for the drive can well, drive you nuts. We were looking forward to seeing this particular machine run, but its not easy or simple at the level you are playing.

That is very true there Sir. I'm not trying to show up to fail. When I show up in 2013 I want to be capable of winning and rushing for 2012 is not my style. I had to make the call not to go. Jake and Scott over there @ Jake's Performance Fabrication did a bang up job for me and it hurt telling them I'm pulling the plug for this year, but we'll make a good showing in 2013. See you all there and Thanks...

Last year was my first year driving my truck on DW.. I wasn't rushed before, but I didn't get everything looked at and checked out twice like I really wanted..

Everything ended up OK.. And as the week went along, I felt much more at ease..

My 53 is NO WHERE near some of the hi perf cars/trucks in here. So it was a little easier too.

I hate to see you back out, but totally understand!!

    c see you next year!!

I left for Drag Week last year with maybe 40 miles on the just assembled engine (new pistons, balancing, new heads, new roller cam, etc), and drove it 1200 miles there. All was good on that trip, so I was comfortable with the driving part. I babied it the first half of the week. Starting with a ~14.6x runs early on and finishing with a 13.3x by the end of the week, all soft launching 2.1 60ft's. I had one 1.9 60ft, but the alternator belt took out my ignition halfway down the track on that run. I hope the drivetrain is up for 12's this year

Looks like I am going to have to bow out this year fella's....had some family issues come up and seems I will no longer have the funds to make it this year. Now to write the email to Hotrod....I feel so defeated writing this. Hopefully next year it is close enough I will be able to make it. Good luck to all those going, be safe and god speed.
