I am up for watching along, don't think I will be much help. I want to build a MS some day then and turbo. When using 16 injectors do you pairs in parallel? or staged? do both sets have to be the same size? Not sure if its worth adding more injectors or buying aftermarket ones.
Least expensive way to get EFI on a dinosaur engine?

I don't know, but I want to know. I have room under the intake for fuel rails and injectors too. Might be fun to hide all the EFI stuff under the intake, it just runs on rainbow unicorn farts and happy thoughts.Comment

if you think rainbow unicorn farts are real, maybe injection advice can come from somewhere else.Originally posted by Thumpin455 View PostI don't know, but I want to know. I am liking the spider injection, gm 1996-1998.
Before california stuck live wires into the vacuum side.
Injection wants/needs for the four cyl crowd have been hacked from all kinds of things. I remember a saab creafully hacked out to be placed on a subaru boxer...early mid 90s
A lot easier today, careers revolving around it.. aftermarket.
I have learned on my own, separate rails, or eight of anything but plugs/injectors is really silly. Fractal geometry is fun for unicorn fart sniffers.
the centralizing like a heart, spread the veins out...good stuff, 500k miles and 20 years later.

First, AT this MOMENT I am in Istanbul (vacation) watching for "locals".
The "slang" praise in the states "Your the Bomb" is known for good work done.
In Istanbul, Turkey (current location) this "praise" has a whole NEW meaning, the absolute truth.
My advice would be to aquire a "swap meet" aluminum intake/bad Holley with a good base plate.
The addition of Injector Bungs would be easy, then just add a "junk yard" TPS to the Holley base plate. (off the Explorer below)
The next step would be to find some "junk yard" coils, my coils, on a Ford 4.6 Two Valve for a true COP on your Windsor Ford engine.
My advice is the use my ECU-882, of course, the cost of a "factory" EMS MUST include software for calibration. (HP, EFI Live, etc)
Thus costs are almost the same.
Then find a Ford Explorer, 302 Windsor V-8 in the wrecking yard, use the front pulley (MY 36-1 TW), crank sensor, fuel pump, TBI injectors (45.lbs each), fuel pressure regulator, etc.
The use of sensors for CLT, MAT is required and would be found in the wrecking yard, on a late GM engine
What is left are the wiring materials and labor.
Your finished product would be a modern DIS, COP, Degree Based EMS.
