I have the same A1000 and Aeromotive filters & regulator setup on my EFI BBF. #10 up and back from sumped stock tank. Like others I change the filters once a year, usually right before DW or a tune up race. No issues with pump life since my very first one in 2002 which didn't like Cali fuel which had alcohol and MTBE's in it then. The news ones (one new and one sapre which I switched in two years ago have been fine with controller or without. I like the 20 gallon stock tank for the range and its under the steel trunk floor which I like in a convertable. New revised stock tank will have #12 from the Aeromotive weld in sump to the pre-filter-pump-post-filter assembly behind and slightly below the rearend housing.

Last year I had my stock tank with sump and #10 line feeding a aerospace components ultra 350 pump with a #8 bypass to tank, it gave me problems from about 20 miles out all the way into Dallas. Sent it in this year to check it and they said it was wore out(it was new when we left) so they rebuilt it and said dont use it on the street lol. This year I added a 3 gal fuel cell in trunk hooked to the big pump and teed in to feed line with a shut off, retained my stock tank with sump for a holley red I had always used and teed it into feed also that way all it takes it to shut one off and open another, no draining tank to fill race fuel etc.

The big problem I see is, people put filters on to save the pumps or carb
or injectors BUT they just look at the micron and not the flow rate of the
filter.. thats just as important as the micron

Which is why I used Magnafuel's integral filter... flow matched for the pump.

How many run a vent ,size and where to . Running 8 to the pump (mechanical) and 8 up to the carb . No return . Ran this on the last car with no problems . Have bigger plans for this one . Would still like to run mech pump if possible .

last year I was chasing a higher rpm WOT miss and for a time thought it might be fuel pressure loss (EFI car). So I added a #8 vent to supplement the stock tanks tiny vent line. It didn't make a difference as the miss turned out to be a ground issue with the coils and injectors. Supposed to be important, more so for small fuel cells which don't have large air spaces.
