    Essentially an alternative to acetylene. I forget what MAPP stands for but it's an acronym for the components. IIRC - it burns hotter than acetylene and can be mixed with O2 or air. Some say it doesn't weld as well as acetylene - I never tried it so I can't verify..

          gotta be mixed with oxygen ..straight acetylene is very sooty

            No O2 needed with the tip. Like an air gun, it siphons the air from the base of the tip on the side, if you look closely toy can see them. It burns real hot, enough so to braze.
