  • single collector to zoomies?

I'm converting my blown v6 from MFI to EFI. I need an o2 sensor but I like my zoomies so I was thinking about going to the collector for the 02 sensor then going out to zoomies after the collector. Doesn't have a practical application but looks cool. Any thoughts?

Your better off finding one cyl to mount the O2 in... if you had EGTs you could determine
what cyl.. sort of a waste of time to go from the zoomies to a collector then back to zoomies

While the car is super nice and the pics are nice, I think we wanted to seevhow the zoomies come out to make sure we all have the same definition of zoomies in the pics I don't see any. ( not that they aren't there ) I think a pic from underneath would be good.

I gather that at-least the look of zoomies is desired but the current exhaust is 3" open collector. Are you still going to pro-street it and need mufflers?

              Bad ass V6, by-the-way.

Correct. The current exhaust are open 3" collectors. I have zoomies but removed them. I guess an O2 on the collector would be easier but like the look and sound of the zoomies. can you put an O2 sensor on a single zoomie? The car will be prostreet so mufflers are probably more likely. The po-po dont like open headers or zoomies me thinks.

you could where the zoomies run under the fender cross 2 pipes together connecting two like they do with duals with an x crossing say #1 and #2 giving you a place to install the o2 sensor and sampling 2 cyl do this on both sides and it get 4 cyl of sampling if the efi can use 2 o2 signals.. and unless someone looks under the fender they'll never know..

could you imagine how precise you can get though tuning with the 6 o2 sensors, one for each injector if that is even possible?

Its possible but not for my setup. I am not running port injectors, just injecting fuel into the bugcatcher above the blower. So its all getting mixed before it gets to the intake runner. For my purposes, if i were to put one o2 sensor on a zoomie i would pick the one that showed most lean (usually the back 2- #6 or #5) to be conservative. Those were the hottest EGT's on the dyno.
