Thanks for the upload, Brian!
The first video tells me 2 things:
1) Get a good vantage point with a front 3/4 view; this way, the action is coming at you and will be a bit easier to keep in-frame for a longer period.
2) Take a L-O-N-G lens; I'm sure the LTA won't let you get TOO close to the action for a variety of reasons, mostly insurance and liability. Though you won't be as close as you might be at a strip (no safe barriers), you can still get a good close shot.
Stay safe, have fun, get good video and pics. I think that about covers it!
