Re: Another Icon Lost: Joe Mondello has passed away
Years ago I bought a cam and lifters from him. When I called the shop to ask questions about porting, He was the one who answered my call. Talked to me for probably 15 minutes. and by that i mean he talked TO me, not at me, or down to me, he seemed to genuinely want to help me out, to help me to understand the concepts he was talkin' about. Nice guy. Smart guy too. Deep sympathies go out to his family. God rest his soul.Mike in Southwest Ohio

I have to thank Ronnie Mankins for sending out the email to us that Joe had died. It was a complete shock, because a few weeks ago he was fine. Sad news, and too young."A cross thread is better than a lock washer." Earl Lanning...My Grandpa

Re: Another Icon Lost: Joe Mondello has passed away
Joe was a really neat character and an industry icon. I met him many years ago, and considered him as a freind. We spoke by phone from time to time, and met often at industry functions - PRI and such. I'm gonna miss him.
