The 60's edition Batmobile is the shit!

I'd drive it anywhere, anytime(well......almost)...that would be an interesting ride across the Plains and the Rockies in a full-on snowstorm.

Perhaps this wouldn't get towed off the the LAPD after 4 PM.

If the engine pic is right, I think the Mustang will SOHC it to um! A Boss 9 with a SOHC, either would be enough for most, this beast is a combo of both. I want it!

No SOHC there....that's a 429 "Semi Hemi".

I saw this one in person at Barris' shop up in the valley. He's been spending a ton of time and bucks restoring many of his signature vehicles. The Munster Mobile has never looked as good as it does now.

I always did like the Bat car. But if I had the cash, I'd buy the Mustang and as soon as the track opened I'd post a pic here of the first pass. It's a nice resto, but it deserves to be thrased on some. My feeling has always been "if you can afford the car, you can afford to fix it."

I remember the Bat Mobile before it was the Bat Mobile. Someone told me long ago that it was a Mercury or maybe Lincoln concept car gone bad. It sat in front of Barris's shop on Riverside Drive. It sat there for years. I'm pretty sure (no matter what George may say) that he really believed he had found a sucker when the studio decided they wanted a Bat Mobile.
