Is that near exhaust tip bent at the bottom? Looks it to me.

I was in the 8th grade when my dad traded a really cool 1940 Plymouth for a '57 Dodge station wagon. The Plymouth had a rod knocking so my dad wanted to get rid of it and found the wagon on the used car lot at our local Pontiac dealer (we also had a '61 Catalina w/three speed on the column). I guess he got a good deal, but I was devastated. I loved that old Plymouth upon which I had actually first learned to really drive. The Dodge was really ugly. The only cool thing was the push button shifting, but that did not make up for the loss of the Plymouth.

If those fins actually created stability in a cross wind, I wonder what the fins on a 1957-50 Studebaker Hawk did?
