I thought it was Cleveland OHIO where rotors rusted fast to hubs, not Cleveland TENNESSEE!

The question...Harbor Freight has what they call an 8-inch three jaw gear puller at the store in Chattanooga. Will that span far enough to grab the 14 inch rotor? We don't want to drive 35 miles to the HF store one way just to look at it, we'd rather just order it. I guess we're going to have to drive.

My arms are reversible too. That doesn't help.

Working on it yet Pdub?? Still got your thumbs??
Go to Advance Auto Parts. Borrow a puller......tell them what you're doing and they will loan/rent you the right one.

Unit knows how to search stuff. She's found gear pullers that have at least a 14-inch span. That's how big around that rotor is.

The Army has one. The Coast Guard has one. They're just bragging that they have them, we can't get them.

EDIT! UPDATE! Snap-On has one for $660 (plus shipping and tax)

EDIT-EDIT - An absolute measurement, that rotor is 13 5/8

The last time I dealt with rear rotors that seemed to be siezed on, it was because the parking brake was set in the mini drum in the middle, hmmmm.

With all this pondering you are soaking it in PB Blaster regularly, right?

This is cheaper by $220. Knowing how to swing a BFH is cheapest as long as you can hit what you aim at.

Leaking axle seals can work wonders on loosening rear rotors.

I've shot it with everything on my bench, Superman shot it with Kano-Kroil and then put a torch on it....a man torch, not a toy.....that sumbitch is stuck like stuck.

The difference between that and a Chevy is, I can still drive it. I know what's wrong, and I need to fix it. But I can still drive it that way.
