spent the day in the Bryan/ College Station area checking out the area, shopping, local establishments, housing ect ect. The wife and me want out of houston, were tired of the big city b.s. Cool thing about that area its 90 something miles to Houston, 90 something miles to Austin, 100 something miles to Dallas so within a couple hours any direction I can hit just about anything automotive wise. Me im liking the idea of moving there

oh and I also picked up a military issue gas can you found on the back of army jeeps for 20 bux from a military surplus store that is in the local mall

Not very long, 3 months, though only a month "officially." but she told me all these things and I believed her, then she went back against all those things she told me.
Essentially what hurts the most is I know this guy is going to lead her away from Christ, she said she didn't like the secular way of thinking that he lead her into, then goes back to him
WHile I was in Florida, I was calling her every night, because I truly loved her, I can't lie about that, I told her I did, she told me she loved me
On the day before I turned 21, we'd been talking for 20 minutes, then she told me (paraphrasing here)

I know I said I love you and would never leave you as long as you treated me right, but I don't actually love you, and I'm going back to my emotionally distant 38 year old ex boyfriend

I shouldn't still love her, I should despise her, but I don't, I still love her

Our Well went out on Tuesday. The guy comes out and tells me the Berkely pump on the ground is from 1930, he would at least like to update us to the '50s with a submersible pump. $1100 or so and this submersible should last about 10 years (oh boy!) and involve pulling all the pipe up to install it. Either way he was very worried that the well had lost prime and said no matter what we did we would probably have to pull the pipe up to regain prime which makes NO SENSE AT ALL. Unless the footvalve on the bottom is broken there is NO NEED to pull the pipe up to re-prime, so I thought he was full of it and was getting ready to ream a dumb housewife.
As for a subermisible pump, why would anyone trade a pump that has worked for 70 years to one that works for 10? He left Tuesday after I told him I would rather just replace the Berkely with a like apparatus around $400. So Wednesday he calls from his truck and says he will stop by Napa and get some gasket material and see if he can fix the Berkley with that. The Berkley turns out to be one of the oldest around and where he thought there would be a rotten plastic area that you can't get anymore this one is actually older and the plastic area on this older one was part of the original casting. He fixed it with a gasket! I do not have the bill yet but I believe it will be considerably lower than the other two alternatives would have been. Oh and the Well had not lost its prime!

Having spent a stint assembling Baja boats in the early 90's, I can totally relate to your bow experience.

I lost a engine block to the same impeller problem - seems 250 chevys want cooling water for some reason? Replaced with a 292, and life promptly got in the way of boating, then lost interest.

Its been sitting in the barn ever since.....I'm pondering if anyone would have an interest in a 1970 MarkTwain Tri-Hull I/O? Should probably snag the 292 and outdrive and scrap it....seems a waste though.

Sitting on UCLA campus, Coldplay is about to play right outside my window, and the coeds keep jogging by. Maybe its required curiculum. I approve. So far, I'm a bit distracted. Dont know why. Hmmmmmm. Read the same paragraph of this mag nine times. Maybe I should just put it away and enjoy the scenery.
