I would.

I've always been a fan of the 1947-1965 PV444/544 like this white one. They remind me of the fat fenders rods we all like, but in a smaller package.

The 1956-1970 Amazon was also a cool car, and had a great boxy look.

I would love to build one of each, but if I was only doing one, I would go for the 444/544. I would love in power it with a Pontiac "Trophy 4" (half a 389) with a turbo and intercooler. Back it with a six speed and then slam it on Air Ride. Big and littles would be the way to go, and I'd want it to run mid 11's so I could have fun with it, but it wouldn't need a rollbar. I have no money, so this isn't going to happen anytime soon, but....

Hell yes. Anything from a PV444 right up through the Amazon, 140, 240 series and especially a P1800. There a great foundation to build off of- rear wheel drive, pretty decent suspension and brakes, roomy, generally pretty sturdy, and not terribly heavy. The engine compartments have room for all kinds of motors. Anything from an ecotech to a small block in one would make an awfully fun car.

I'd hotrod a friggin' K-car, given half a chance.

Sure, inspiraton comes from all sorts of places.........something different from another Camaro/Mustang or '32 Ford.


Some kind of turbo'ed Volvo screamer under the hood, or.......one of those Porsche V-8's from the 928.

Different, but cool nonetheless..........the easy way out would be to shove an LS1 or 2JZ in it.

Saw a nice Amazon done in resto look the other day.I like them,but there have been done terrible restorations and customizing on them over here..but once in a while a nice one stand up.

I've always liked the early 70's P1800 ES wagons. Not sure what I'd power it with, but I'd have fun with it. I like 'smoke's idea of the 928 V-8.
