  • GM Steel Wheels...

Hey, did GM ever make these wheels in 15"

..and what's the common term for them if I were to search eBay. I'm not having much luck finding any.

I've got a set of those dog-dishes for them. I'm hoping 15" is available or being able to modify them by having 15" rims mounted to the 14" centers..

I believe they were made but not sure what they came on, cop cars maybe? You can get them here in 14s, 15s & 17s. I'm thinking aomse 15x10s would look nice on my dad's nova, decent price too.

alot of 14's out there too bad the tire sizes are so limited!
with really old wheels,(like in that novas trunk) you have
to watch out for some that wont clear disc breaks, drum only.

mid 70s mid size chevys had 15" wheels. Also like was mentioned there were taxi/cop car/wagons with 15s where normal cars had 14s in the 60s.

Some 77-up full size cars had 4.75" bolt pattern, others had 5" and all had 15" wheels I think

71-up chevy 2wd trucks had 5 on 5. 1970 was still six lug

My neighbor has an 81 Olds Delta 98 with 15" steel wheels. Can't see the bolt pattern though cuz the hubcaps are on.

                              Re: GM Steel Wheels...

I have seen the truck 15" wheels but also noticed (apart from all I seen with a 5" bolt circle) that they don't appear to have the provisions for mounting hubcaps.

Also Memphis, I'm aware of Wheel Vintiques and I'm going to call them. I'm sure they have the wrong photo to that 62 Series link. I'm positive that wheel is for an 8" cap and not a 10-1/8".
I've been locally quoted AU$180each (landed) to get them in the size and back-spacing of my choice..

Just rang an spoke to them then.. Nope, that is the correct picture. It's probably just the 15" wheel that makes the cap look smaller.

Hmmm but AU$720 is a lot of dough..
