  • Tom's pedal tractor

Brian, this is the pedal tractor your kid needs. Saw it at an antique farm equipment show/toy show I was at today. Its one of a hundred. Oh yeah, and that little yellow crawler in the background is a pedal crawler with levers to disengage the individual tracks for turning. Pretty wild (and expensive) stuff.

      Cool pics Gene

there's a guy in our next of the woods
who's been restoring pedal cars for many years

it's amazing the price some of these things bring!

        Wow!
Not just a MM but a UDLX! I bet they were made as promotional items when MM launched the UDLX Comfor-tractor. They only sold about 100 of the real ones too!

Oh come on, Brian, your kid's pedal tractor should always be worth more than all your cars combined. ;D

Negatory, its a new unit. It looked to me like they took an Ertl or something and used the cast chassis, cut the front half off and welded on sections of flat stock, then fabbed up a front axle. The sheetmetal body appeared to be hand made, albeit very very nicely done. And very very expensive. Ironically the guy who owns it is a customer of mine, so I know him a little. He has a lot of stuff like this that he made himself, but this particular piece he just bought somewhere.

Awesome Gene, thanks for the info.

I'm sure he'd put about 10k miles a year on that bad boy. Sounds like I'd need to re-mortgage the house for it though.

I thought brian did a piece on those (the actual tractor)
I swear i remember reading about it. How it was supposed to replace the farmers
car, but never quite took hold.
Anyway thats one cool pedal car ;)
