car for the wife

Anyone else on here ever sold their project to buy one for the wife? I sold my 1957 Chevy 3100 pickup (which was a sad sack, but that's another story) and in turn bought my wife her dream car - a 1969 Ford Falcon Sport Coupe.....

I guess there were multiple reasons (the first being the truck needed a ton of work, the second being that we had a second kid - 4 were not going to fit in it)

Any stories??

My dad sold his 1970 Chevelle SS 396 Convertible, not sold, traded, plus cash, for a boat for the family, used it twice

sold a low miles (15000) 1977 t/a 400/4spd
so I could find a rustang for wife.. still looking..
