  • 2008 Car Hunt

If there is that one "special" car

you're determined to buy or trade for

and acquire "somehow" in 2008... what is it? --- ???
    -------------------------------------

    ( Here, it's a long wish-list, but for 2008,

    a 1965 Chevelle is at the top. --- )

I wish us all the best in finding the very one we're looking for!!

There's a '57 Chevy I stumbled onto. One of those deals where I was looking up '57 prices on the internet for a friend and found this car that I can't stop thinking about.

A factory five cobra replica. I get shivers thinking about it. I have been dreaming about that car for years.

55 Chevy 210 2 door post is another one that makes me druel. I am looking, but need to get a few things in line before i make any purchases.

I have exactly the opposite problems as DF,

I think too much before I buy, I can't seem to find any remotely good deals, I don't look enough.

My goal for this year is to get my car done enough that I can get my wife a car. She wants a Falcon (preferably a 64-65) but I'm still trying to convince her that a Dodge Dart with a slant 6 would be better. It's all going to come down to what she wants and what I find a better deal on.

I don't really "need" anymore cars, I'm having a hard enough time getting the one's done I've already got. But, Last year the local P.D. auctioned off a '03 Police Interceptor with 93k for $500. The next auction is this summer, so if I'm lucky, I'll end up with an old cop car and ditch my worn out '97 Suzuki.
Just groovin' to my own tune.

I have many to hunt down, a list of cars I have directions too. Just gotta get the time to go hunting.

71 Cuda is next on the list.

A 30ish Model A or Chevy. Just a body really. Doesn't need to be nice. Rusty is fine.

55-57 Pontiac Safari. My wife loves them.

                        It's a great state-of-mind to feel

that you actually do already have

                        your dream car, eh? ---

I know about a 70 Torino Convertible in mint shape, 351C, automatic for $5500. I want a nice turnkey convert. so it should fit the bill. The guy spent almost $10k on the new paint, new top, weatherstrip, chrome, then passed away before he could really enjoy it. The widow knows it's worth more money, but that's what she wants for it.

It's not really on my wish list, but I like those 70-71 Torinos and condition wise, it's the best car I know of for the money.

On my wish list would be a 32-41 Ford Truck, 52-56 Ford hardtop,
late '40s Buick Roadmaster, 55-57 Olds or Pontiac, 64-65 GTO, 70-73 Firebird Formula, 70 Chevelle/Elky, the list goes on and on and on.........
