Me not kissing ass is probably one of the reasons I'm still a First Class. I hit my 16 year mark in February. I'm supposed to transfer to shore duty in May, but I can't find crap out there. I'll probably extend here for a little bit.
The Saratoga and the Forrestal are currently sitting in Newport, Rhode Island. Why they're up there is beyond me.
My first ship was a nuke crusier. She had crappy water pressure too. The phrase I used to hate hearing was "Now set water hours". The evaps we had on there were garbage. Every other ship I've been on has been conventional. We have these new "reverse osmosis" evaps now. Think a really big Britta water filter and that gives you an idea on how they work. They're a hell of alot better than the old three stage evaps we used to have.
