Hey all,
Turns out there ARE cool cars in central FL. Check out these shots from the first Billetproof show at the Don Garlits Museum of Drag Racing in Ocala FL (about 75 miles north of Tampa on I-75). As some of you know I just moved back to FL after many years in Southern California, so I was stoked to see this type of scene here. People were friendly & polite and the organizers put on a great show. Of course the museum alone was worth the 150 mile drive from Sarasota. They expected 150 cars & got over 500 by some accounts. There is also big thread on the HAMB if you want to see more; that's where I heard about the show. I just squeaked in with my '64 Buick Special wagon, in fact they commented at the gate "looks a little new". To be honest it was mostly 30's-50's junk, but mostly nice junk and some very creative builds. Enjoy...
