More complicated?? You seem to think some of us only work on really old stuff. Working on an Eagle is not rocket science. And what exactly are wrong with the hubs anyway? I think you mentioned bad bearings? I ask because, yes, it is a bitch to replace the bearings, but it's not impossible.

And you never did answer my question about the hubs on the Kammback. You might want to give serious thought about pulling the hubs off that to put on your wagon for the interim (once you get tools).

Eagle might have his problems and really not as focused as he should be, maybe he spends money in the wrong places or whatever but I dont ever see anyone pushing him along in a positive manner. I have seen people bust their ass and give great words of praise for others , just not Toad.

I have 2 older boys 25 and 23 and it took some doing to motivate them a few years ago. I am also a Dad to a 3 year old, I have no problem motorvating him, loves tools and loves playing like he is working on his stuff. He tells me he's a working man,leave my tools alone.

Hope you get your car fixed Eagle. Get off your ass now! ;D

I'd just like to point out that I am not a doer.
Also, start working in the snow and rain. You'll appreciate a roof/garage that much more when you get one. And just what the hell are zipper boots?

I thought about that, but what I was planning on doing, I have one brand new entire hub, I'll have that put in, then take the one they take off to get new bearings and whatnot, and do the other side myself, since they are interchangeable on my car

you can do this.. once you get the part and tools
once you do it.. you'll have no issue doing the other side..
just make sure you have a torque wrench(rent one) to do this.. to torque the hub mounting bolts...
and some red lock tight.. if the axle nut is a one time deal make sure you have a new one..
you will need a long(2 foot) pipe to slip over your ratchet or breaker bar..as the bolts are rustbelt tight..
I'd also ,starting now.. get some pb blaster and start spray'n the bolts from the back side of the spindle..
to make your life easier..
you've already had it down to the hub when you installed the new axles..
there are only 4 more bolts and the hub is out..
good luck.. you already know how to get that far, so this job should be easy..

I'm guiltly of this, like most here..
but Joe, you had a thread not all that long ago with "reasons" you were sick of your fury and didn't want to work on it..
I'm as guilty as the next guy in this way..
but don't you think ,your post is, um unfair,
take a bus, thats rich out in the boonies,,
hay toad whats the toll one way over that bridge that,Joe think your friends suck because they don't want to drive that far..
My,guess the reason toad doesn't take his brothers car is he doesn't have the cash to pay the tolls and get the parts/tools.
one bridge I've gone over in N.J. was close to ten bucks one way.

1st, I dont rely on my Fury for anything..it is a toy, a project so..if I dont want to work on it, I do not have to...a money pit is a money pit....however, when my truck is broken..I find a way to fix it.

even if it is 20 bucks to round trip this bridge..it is STILL less than the gas he is puttnig in the truck he is bitching about driving.
