  • Racing season starts this weekend

The IHRA Nitro Jam at West Palm Beach, Jan. 28-29th.
It's close enough to where I can start checking the weather and it looks like 60-70 degrees, a little better than the 20's we've been having here.
Everything is all packed and ready to go, except for the batterys, grocerys, and a few things that might freeze. The nitro is beeing chilled right now, lol
    Anyone else going?

          Thanks,
We have a new car and it's been working pretty good. I was pretty much against switching last year but I think it's turned out to be a good decision, we should have done it sooner.

Re: Racing season starts this weekend

The attendance was prety good Saturday night, Friday....not so much.
I heard from a couple people it was $35 bucks to get in, and kids were $10 :o
The fuel altereds were cool, but I think I've seen enough jets cars over the last year or so. We had issues with the track but Bobby Lagana ran over 320mph a couple of times, so I guess it's an issue we have to learn to deal with.
I got to hang out with Mark Sanders, the driver/owner of the Mr. Explosive funny car friday night, really cool guy!

We will be back down in the Palm Beach area the end of February - what's going on then?

It would be a hoot to meet some of you guys at that track!
There's always something new to learn.

I think the date is Feb 19th..We will be at Baton Rouge, La, and then March at Gainesville.
You're in Michigan, right? I think in August we will be at 131, and we have a couple races in Ohio before then. Of coarse we have the Div.3 race at Indy around April. Indy in April though, LOL we will se how that goes!
