ENOUGH ALL READY!!! This was some storm, we had a state of emergency in most local counties till 5pm.

12-20+ inches of death fell in little under 24 hours , which came after a rainy weekend that caused all former snow on the ground to melt, creating miner flooding, and now all this crap is due to melt by the weekend.

Man, I'm glad we left Tunkhannock last night! We were watching the weather and decided to leave in the afternoon to go back to NJ. We got out about 5:30 in the sleet. It wasn't until we past Dickson City, around exit 4 on RT84 that it changed to rain. It just poured wicked all the way. That was rough driving. I was worn out. We got 4" of rain from that storm in Montvale.


Hey, we're going to have to get together some week end! Gotta get a grill first ;D

Yeah, we left Cam's soccer game at 6pm and the roads were turning bad but, nothing four new Bridgestone Blizzacks and a maniac want-a-be Rally driver couldn't handle. The sucky part was, all the snow was gone from the rain by Sunday afternoon and the ground thawed out, not the best time to get 20" of snow. Makes a mess in more ways than one.

And if you don't get it shoveled or plowed, the warm in the next few days will make it heavy like cement.

I am glad it fell out your way and not mine. :D

the ground is very cold here, the rain did not even melt ice in my city parking spot. I walk on a glacier the car is sitting on for 3 months now.

a 20 incher only would delay a melt even further.

I see another one in coming days, hope it is rain.

Rained like crazy here, I was pushing water into the sump pit and hoping the pump wouldnt break (It didnt) What a pain in the ass but I am greatful after seeing some other pictures of people in the area with heavy damage.
