That's the greatest thing I've seen in maybe a year. That is just golden. Perfect. Wonderful.
Which is exactly why I wouldn't wish today's kids on anybody these days. That was perfect.
Unit's neice got in big trouble with her parents in Facebook and suffered a similar fate (without the bullets through the computer) but I don't know how long the banishment lasted. Parents always seem to eventually give in, like the kids whines and mopes for so long, that's more miserable than just giving in, so they give in. But I think that guy is genuinely pissed off and serious for the very last time.
Golden. Perfect.Charter member of the Turd Nuggets

Wife and myself have a zero-tolerance policy at Chateau Stiney. Decided on it from day one.
Stuff left laying around can be claimed later - in the incinerator. This does include brand new toys, believe it or not. My boys believe it.
Back talk is unacceptable. Go choose a personal belonging to be disposed of - again, to be later claimed in the incinerator.
Etc, etc, etc. Friends are amazed at our boys responsiveness to mere facial expressions and hand signals.
Clarity and Consistency works. Period. I'm discovering it works on other peoples kids too, as I slowly become a grumpy old man. Cool.Last edited by STINEY; February 10, 2012, 02:28 PM.Of all the paths you take in life - make sure a few of them are dirt.

Way to go!! My boys were brought up to respect others be honest and to do what they were told. They would have to pay the price if they didn't. I would tell them once to quit, if they didn't they would pay. We were driving down the road on vacation and they were fighting in the back seat. I told them to quit and if they didn't I would pull off the road and handle it. They started back to fighting and I pulled off the road and took care of them. The rest of the ride was very enjoyable.OH YEAH
Long haul 07. 08. 10, 11, and 13. Looking forward to 2014

You GO Stiney! That's what must be missing in many households these days. That's the way I was raised when Kennedy was President, and I don't know if I came out better or worse because of it, but that's the way it was. And it built up to the point that when I finally did get out of that house I raised hell because I could, never allowed to do so before. It's a complicated issue, cause and effect.
But for one thing, the kids in our family knew one thing at least - the parents were in control. Within Unit's family there's one branch where the kids live under an iron rule, maybe too strict IMO. And another where the kids are asked which outfit they'd like to wear and what they'd like to eat today. Drastic difference in approach. And it all goes in, into the kid's perception of the world and ends up with how they behave accordingly.
But in my case it was all before technology. Computers and Facebook opened up a whole new continent of worms for kids to get into.Charter member of the Turd Nuggets

That was f**king retarded. 8 minutes of listening to some stammering clown who's trying to "one up" his kid by making a youtube video? Someone needs how to learn to parent their kids.www.realtuners.com - catch the RealTuners Radio Podcast on Youtube, Facebook, iTunes, and anywhere else podcasts are distributed!

If it's fake, posed and scripted, I don't care. It's causing a sensation, probably with a whole lot of parents who didn't realize that the whole problem was actually themselves. I think it's great. It may make a 1% difference. In somebody's house, somewhere.
EDIT: With more thought, I think it's even more perfect. You (kid) are going behind me and disrespect me as a parent and post something on FB, I'll go AHEAD of you and end up on on the MSN home page posting my response. That's just brilliant. Win. If that's the only language/venue you think you understand, I'll use it to my advantage.
I hope it's true, but again, I don't care if it is. Golden. Perfect.Last edited by pdub; February 10, 2012, 04:14 PM.Charter member of the Turd Nuggets

It can go too far, and I believe it has. The kids are now in control, whether the parents can see or believe it or not.Charter member of the Turd Nuggets
