Great company, may not be the only one given NHRA's issues.

I know there are a number of companies that are having a very hard time keeping their head above water right now.

The NHRA has also gotten harder to work with in the last two years then it was before.

SpiderGearsMan since you live in N.J. have you heard any of the rumors about E-TOWN and this being the last year.

Just wondering if it is true. Hard to believe that this will be the first year since the early 70's that the alcohol guys in division 1 won't be racing there. Very Sad!!!!!!!!!!

I also have a friend who knows the Napp family and he told me he was going to talk to Vinny and ask him about it.

I know that every year the subdivisions seem to get closer and closer to the track.

It just won't be the same without the alcohol classes racing there any more. I think the NHRA moved there race to Z Max Dragway.

Jimbo, Firebird Raceway in Chandler, Arizona is toast as of next year. I have not heard the E-Town rumor yet this year, but as Jim said, that is a perennial favorite.

Just curious how solid your info on Firebird is Brian?

Coronet, I believe that it is pretty solid. I have spoken to a few informed parties off the record and they are confirming everything that has been published thus far with the tribe not having any interest in signing an option on the lease.

They are dropping like flies. A real shame for the sport.

Jesus, this sucks. I guess the tribe will expand their casino huh? My list of tracks I've raced at is begining to look like an obituary.

It is bewildering to think that I, in Boston Massachusetts have less than half the ride (time-wise) someone in LA does to get to a drag strip. Door to door in a touch over an hour. Bako is a deuce and change from LA. I hope Irwindale is reopened soon. Indications are that it will be in a short while.

Yes, it sucks. Famoso is 15 minutes from home for me, and I used to be able to hot-lap it and pull 20+ runs a night on a T&T. Last time I went out there I got three runs in all night. Well, I guess it is better for the track, but I selfishly liked it when it was practically empty.

I wonder how much the tribe wanted National Highschool Rodeo Association to pony up to stay in Chandler
