Almost 700hp, 0-60 in 2.9 seconds, low to mid 10's in the quarter, 217 mph top speed, and it's not that fast?! I know he's got the F-Bomb, the Bee, and Crusher, but damn that man is finicky!
      I'm probably wrong

smooth speed is decptive. Ride a modern sportbike and you'll figure that out in a hurry.

Of course, the "not that fast" comment came from a guy who managed to stall an automatic. LMMFAO - still "dirtball" even with a budget!

I enjoyed it. Not as much as the offroad one, but hell, at least they didn't blow the entire schedule. Maybe I mean "Itenerary" since they were in the Lambo.

Ironic about the guys / girls thing. The girls are looking for the bad boy who drives the impending compound fracture? HEHEHE. Oh man, that's awesome.

In the $400,000 perspective, its not that fast. You can equal the times, power, and top end for about $15k if you build it right, and dont use a SBC. 10s in a street car is fast, but its the price tag that skews things.

DF is a knuckle dragger. Those high end Euro sports cars dont have low end torque, so there is no off the line brutality that he's used to. Sure, it's got 700 hp, but that is just a mathmatical equation. What's the torque rating and what rpm does it peak at?

It was intersting that the women liked the rat rod while the men, the Lamb. I'm a big fan of DF and would love to do 1/4 of the stuff he does such as the road trips. The one thought that ran through my mind watching this was he stated his bosses where getting tired of his low buck stuff and give him six grand to blow. Some times I wonder how he gets away with it all, family included. I wonder what goes on behind the scenes in the board room? He must be doing something right, I have no complaints.

Honestly i would look at the lambo to i have seen to many rat rods to go crazy i still like looking at them but if there is a rat and a 400k car im gana look at the exotic. just my two cents
                    GF:Did you motor blow up?
Me:No i took the rod and shoved it through my block on purpose...

Neither car would get more than a glance from me. I see Lambo's every day. Rat rods that are impossible to drive do nothing for me.

No, he's just "all ate up" with rationalization. There's no way that a "Corona -n- flip-flops" guy (we used to call'em "blue collars" but t-shirts don't really have collars anymore) can throw down with the $400,000 Italian factory supercar. Because he likely can never have it, he's got to find ways to dismiss it.

The comparison of a "tetanus rod" of questionable engineering against an almost "state-of-the-art" factory supercar of arguably abysmal "bang-for-the-buck" makes about as much sense as comparing greasy cut-offs with an Armani Tuxedo. Both will garner "attention" and cover your "bits & pieces." But in the real world, they're "tools" for vastly different jobs.

But then the historic sweep of "blue collar" American performance has been achieving "exotic" results with relatively pedestrian, mass-produced hardware.

That some ignorant and short-sighted "PBR girls" might swoon more over rust than "Euro-trash" is hardly surprising. The "bad boy" message is repeatedly drummed into their heads by popular culture. Besides, there's some sort of genetic/natural selection thing going on here as well.

But the truth is that the vast majorty of women simply don't care about cars. Not even a tiddly bit.

It's probably because the Lambo was white. If it was a flashier color, I bet more women would have looked and liked it better.

It was cool to watch someone else drive those things, it's kinda what I thought they would have been like. That's why I'm a '70 LS6 Chevelle guy.

I reluctantly watched it and I have to say it was entertaining. I have some seat time in a Rat like the one on the video and if it they are built right they are not that bad. The 29 my step dad has is a ball to ride in, and with 18" spoke rims and a well designed suspension it rides quite well .... I wouldnt mind giving the lambo a spin, with all wheel drive and stupid power it has to be a hoot.
