I'm on a rural county road in North Dakota today visiting customers ..

Going 70 in a 65 , those that think HP won't stop you for 5 over, they did today !

He wrote me for it

ticket $10.00 ..

He acted like I was going 200 mph

I travel 4 states and usually do the 5 over with no problems.

Illinois is starting to use motorcycle cops to run radar..........those tickets are cheap.

I got one speeding ticket, old subaru.
I explained I use the tach becuase speedometer was useless.
he made a note of it. Still paid a hefty fine, like 65 in a 50.
verified the cop was right on when I got home though my computer. my speed reads something different than gear calc. Gear calc was correct.

I could only guess to be speeding, even today, as per old subaru usual. I still don't get tickets.
another thing that helps alot of people slide through is year of car. beyond 20 etc, not many police get riled up about pointing out speed locally.
the last of a pile of mistakes...I suppose that will change when some 90s cars become 25 years. they have no excuses.

I was just remembering the funny thing with speedometers 60s 70 80s..
when the cars top end is faster than oem, it loses it, and if the launch is faster, it bounces mysteriously at slow speeds, attempts to keep up, and then loses it again.
gm, ford, now the subarus i play with.

I do have in my watch list the basic gps driven gadget for speedometer.. will get some time, as of now more important things needed.

5 over and a ticket is silly.

The Dakota Cops are a bunch of Nazi's, had one Ghost me on the way to my Wife's dad's funeral coming out of Rapid for about 5 miles, guess he didn't like that I don't have a front license plate and one of my driving lights was out, he didn't pull me over but I did have a lot of fun slowing down every time he sped up to see who was driving, it also didn't help that the guy in front of me was doing 10 under the speed limit...... 5 over.... they must be hurting for money.......
