This is almost unbelievable. See how all of the balls wind up in catcher cones.

This incredible machine was built as a collaborative effort between the
Robert M. Trammell Music Conservatory and the Sharon Wick School of
Engineering at the University of Iowa . Amazingly, 97% of the machine's
components came from John Deere Industries and Irrigation Equipment of
Bancroft , Iowa .. Yes, farm equipment!

It took the team a combined 13,029 hours (6.26 years) of set-up, alignment,
calibration, and tuning before filming this video but as you can see, it was
    WELL worth the effort.

It is now on display in the Matthew Gerhard Alumni Hall at the University
and is already slated to be donated to the Smithsonian.

Gail, there's no link behind Read This First....guess we'll have to watch the video first.

EDIT: I watched it and I don't believe it. Not at all. No way.

You've got a valid point Joe. That is, I'd do better throwing balls at the drums and the keys and the frets than I would ever do trying to play outright! HahHAHaaH!!!! What am I going to do with all this music stuff? Stude wants me to sell it onlne or something. Someday that day is coming, but not yet. I like looking at it. And besides, yesterday I used the PA system for the big gathering at the training center!

See there? Value added. I KNEW I had that stuff for a reason...
