Awesome pics. Is that a Hellcat or a Bearcat in the third frame? The area behind the cowl makes me think it might be one of the turboprop Bearcat based planes they built.
Why does the P47 look so small? All the footage I have of them, and the pics I have taken personally shows them to be larger. Is it a 3/4 scale plane? Maybe its just a 6'5" guy doing the painting, or perhaps perspective.
This is the one I shot in Charleston back in 00 before the airshow we had on base. Sorry, no ladies, because you dont want to see my ex wife.

It's actually a Wildcat in that image. P-47 is full size and fully functional (as is all of the aircraft in these shots). Might look small because the guy is 6'4" on top of a 3-step ladder. And the gal is 6' tall too. Plus a smidge of perspective distortion.
