  • Did Bangshift run a blog article on a domestic Mom-n-Pop tire manufacturer?

Does anyone else remember an article on here about a small domestic speciality tire manufacturer in the Midwest somewhere? Similar to Coker Tire but some different name?

Or am I finally losing whatever is left of my mind?

I can never get the search engine to work right on here. I even try google with bangshift.com added after the search key words, but still don't find things I know darn well are on here.

    Grr.

Anyway, I have some old old off-road tires that are in good condition wear-wise, but are dry rotted and checked rather bad. Have been approached by 3 different individuals about selling just the tires ( I considered them just rollers) so it seems there is some interest in this style again. Maybe something can be worked out to mold these and reproduce them?

      Thanks Spidey.

Turns out there has been a mass-attempt to get these repopped before me, with partial results. The repops don't satisify everyone, but are better than nothing.

I remember it - it's very small - like a father and son deal.... derned if I can recall the name - is it towel city where Monk just got his new ones for the black 55?
        or was it Hurst tires?

          Yes! Father and son deal!

At least that proves I'm not losing it completely! I do believe someone on here had bought from them.

That is the very one. Thanks a ton.........it seems doubtful they would want to branch out, as they have a nice little niche market carved out already, but I'll run my idea by them anyways. Might learn something - they seem to have a lot to teach!
