  • Roadkill, return of a Car Junkie legend

People around in the Car Junkie TV days will remember this truck with fond memories from its build and the road trip afterwards.

As a motorcyclist I cringe as I watch it.

Also a question, It's illegal to wear a seat belt the way they are in this clip in Australia, is it legal there and what is the advantage of wearing one that way?

I wondered what happened to that truck. I remember Chad and David killing themselves to get it done, and how dirty David's feet were lol

Every state has different laws on seat belts. Most require one. Cali requires you wear one on all '64 and newer cars. '60's cars didn't have the 3 point belt, but I think wearing one like that is worse than just having only a lap belt.

Isn't the Muscle Truck build during CJTV where DF laid down in the aisle at the parts store and fell asleep?

Is that a legitimate excuse? I've been looking for some good excuses, that seems like it would cover several situations.

                  Finnigan's 55

Finnigan's 55 is in the background in the Hot Rod Shop, I'm not surprised it's not going to make Dragweek looking at it.

With them working the event for the magazine, I don't see how DF or Finney can participate. I wish they would. I still have hope DF would take the F Bomb. It would shut the mouths of many of his critics.

I may be totally wrong.... But from the coverage of the guys on dragweek, I think they would totally support the Hot Rod guys participating! as long as they followed the rules like everyone else.

That's the truck that Chad & DF threw together in a short time (naturally) and took off for the LS Fest (or something) in Memphis and then they stopped by George Ray's Drag Strip in Paragould, Arkansas on the way back and interviewed George Ray. I didn't know what happened to the truck, cool to see that it's still around. I really enjoy the Road Kill episodes and all the Trauma, Drama and Adventures that go with them.

I agree. That car was proven to be reliable, had good street manners, and if you watch the video of the first outing to the track, even with David's trademark last minute thrashing, getting to the track late, etc, and some teething issues it ran impressive numbers. The car is no joke. I'd love to see it on Drag Week.

Starting to see some in derby cars.. The guys put in after market intakes and carbs, drop in a dizzy.. Not sure what they do about fuel pumps tho.. Just last weekend in the "Can-Am" where a club in the Puget Sound has a team derby against the Canadian team, an early Mopar ran an ls motor.. Aparantly they make "stupid power" stock cammed..
